Group Coaching: Useful resources for a healthier lifestyle

Why group coaching?

Group coaching is an extremely interesting way of working. A group of people with common interests provides its members with a framework of personal relationships with like-minded people. They can share experiences and difficulties while keeping each other motivated.

One of the reasons for the effectiveness of coaching as a working methodology is the feeling of accountability towards the coach in each session. The same feeling is multiplied in a group. Every member is accountable for their progress to the entire group and this encourages others to implement the recommended guidelines so as not to fall behind. I leave you an article from Forbes magazine titled “Group Coaching vs One-to-One” if you want to read more about it.

Taking part in group coaching sessions has been one of the most powerful and enlightening experiences I have ever had. It made me grow as a person. It has placed in my path a group of people with whom we have built a genuine and long-lasting personal relationship, not only based on our shared interests and goals, but in the reciprocal support we provide each other in the fortnightly sessions we continue to hold, even if no longer with a coach. These are invaluable moments for sharing experiences and providing mutual inspiration to our respective personal projects.

Therefore, in order to enhance participation and interaction among the participants, and simultaneously to deepen in the needs of each one, we will work in small groups of 6 to 8 people.

group coaching on line
You can participate in the on-line group coaching sessions from the comfort of your home

A few days before the first session, every participant must complete a questionnaire to identify their concerns and goals for the workshops. Then an individual online coaching session will be held with each participant to clarify their starting point and answer any possible doubts they may have.

We will conduct three group sessions either face-to-face or through a 90-minute zoom-in session.

What nutrients we need and how to cover them with food and the importance of home cooking to reduce ready-made food which is filled with ingredients to avoid, such us unhealthy fats, refined flours and sugars.
Good choices: How to improve our pantry to have a better raw material. We will talk about foods that generate controversy, such as dairy, soy, various types of sugars, oils and fats.
Sustainability: Little changes to our weekly grocery shopping could mean a huge difference. Organic, locally grown, or something in between?. We will explore these concepts in depth.

Once we know what to eat, let’s put it into practice. We will learn how to improve our pantry with nutritionally dense ingredients, making better choices when we go grocery shopping.

In order to do that, we will learn to interprete food labels and how Nutriscore works. We will compare our findings with the rating provided by apps like Yuka.

We will cook a complete batch for one week’s dinner recipes and I will provide written instructions on how to do the second week’s batch cooking.
While the food is being cooked, we will learn about resistant starch, how to eliminate the anti-nutrients present in legumes and seeds, how to preserve the foo to avoid bacterial growth, how to prevent cross-contamination, etc.
At the end of the session, we will taste everything we have prepared.

The program includes:

  • 1 individual session and 3 group coaching sessions of 90 minutes.
  • Teaching material and additional readings after each session.
  • Recipe Ebook with all the recipes we will cook.
  • Voluntary participation in a WhatsApp group, created for this purpose among the participants to resolve doubts and questions.
